Liam Gallagher has responded to a fan’s request about Oasis possibly marking the 30th anniversary of their album, “(What’s The Story) Morning Glory”. The musician is currently celebrating the 30th anniversary of Oasis’s 1994 debut, “Definitely Maybe,” by performing the album in its entirety, including airs of other music from that time. Despite previously stating that the band will not reunite, Gallagher replied to a fan’s inquiry about whether or not there will be dates for his follow-up tour. He said “Fuck all else to do,” before adding, “NOSTALGIA rules.”
“(What’s The Story) Morning Glory” was the previously most streamed album in the ’90s in the UK before its release was followed by “Definitely Maybe,” which came in second. Its hit singles “Wonderwall,” “Don’t Look Back in Anger,” and “Some Might Say” contributed to the album’s success. According to Official Charts, the album sold 345,000 copies in its initial week and received nine non-consecutive weeks in the top-position in the UK album chart, making it the fifth most selling UK album of all time.
Oasis released a particular vinyl edition of the album for its 25th anniversary, and Noel Gallagher, Liam’s estranged brother, gave an extensive interview about the LP’s development. Liam Gallagher has previously denied that there will be a reunion of Oasis soon, saying that “It’s not happening at this moment in time.” However, the group recently announced a reissue of “Definitely Maybe” to commemorate its 30th anniversary.
Liam Gallagher is on tour in the UK and Ireland, commemorating Oasis’s 1994 debut album, “Definitely Maybe,” and performing the album in its entirety, along with other songs from that time.
