BioWare’s Dragon Age The Veilguard is slated to be the main focus of the gaming industry as the development team has begun sharing details on the upcoming game’s premise, story, companions, and release date. The game is set to release in Fall 2024 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, and players will step into the shoes of the hero, Rook, as they seek to stop Solas and rally a team to protect The Veil. The Veilguard is the latest in the Dragon Age series and follows on from the events of Dragon Age Inquisition and its DLC.
The game is centered around fellowship, companionship, and making alliances. Players will dynamically interact with each of the seven companions, each of them having their own storylines, motivations, and skill trees, in addition to personal connections to players. The game’s initial reveal trailer featured characters such as Bellara, an adventurous romantic Veil Jumper, and Davrin, a monster hunter who is also a Grey Warden, who will join players on their journey. BioWare has released details on other characters that will accompany players during the game.
Gameplay for The Veilguard emphasizes melee attacks, from which players can switch to a bow or use spells to cast elemental attacks. The action-packed game visuals highlight the Arlathan Forest and a fight against a Pride Demon. Players will also have the tactical option within the game to pause and choose their abilities. Further in the game’s cutscenes, the players will witness the more in-depth character systems and how your actions affect your companions’ disapproval and approval of the protagonist. The game is designed to be a traditional Dragon Age RPG but with a more modern feel.
The Veilguard, which has been eagerly anticipated by many gamers worldwide, is hinted to be a hot item this Fall. With the release date not yet finalized, many fans are hoping the game will drop sometime in October or November.
