Slipknot announce first European live shows of 2025

Heavy metal band Slipknot has confirmed that they will be performing at the 2025 editions of Germany’s Rock Am Ring and Rock Im Park festivals. The two events will take place between June 6 and June 8 of that year in Nürburg and Nuremberg, respectively. The band’s announcement does not include any other acts that have been confirmed for the event, but tickets are already on sale.

This announcement comes after the band revealed plans to bring Knotfest, their music festival, back to Australia in 2025. Slipknot made their debut in Australia in 2023, and punters who had bought tickets to Knotfest 2024 will be given exclusive access to the first release of tickets for the 2025 festival.

Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan, one of Slipknot’s members, talked about the band’s plans in an interview with NME about their shows and future projects. In reference to their upcoming performances, he said, “I’m ready to do a 100-person venue again! I’m ready to do a 500-person venue. We want to play in front of 500 people, but there are a lot of factors that will mean it can’t happen. We’re at the point where we’ve got to ensure safety.”

Crahan continued to explain that in light of the pandemic, the band has been prioritizing the safety of their fans. Slipknot has been active since 1995 and has found continued success with their unique brand of heavy metal music. They have already announced an upcoming 25th anniversary tour in the US for 2024, and their tickets are on sale now
