Annapurna Interactive has unveiled its latest video game, Mixtape. The trailer was shown during the Xbox Games Showcase event on June 9th. The game is a coming-of-age story, similar to Life Is Strange, and follows three high school friends as they recall their fondest memories and enjoy the freedom of being young through the power of music.

An official description of Mixtape states that “en route to their final party together, a perfectly curated playlist draws [the trio] into dreamlike reenactments of their formative memories.” Players can expect various narrative vignettes that invite them to explore moments in the lives of the characters, from their first kiss to their last dance.
Although Mixtape does not have a firm release date yet, it is slated to arrive on Xbox Series X|S in 2025 and will also be available on Game Pass at launch. The game will also be available on PS5 and PC. At the Xbox Games Showcase event, other games were announced, including Doom: The Dark Ages, a prequel to the 2016 Doom reboot, and Gears Of War: E-Day, a prequel set 14 years before the events of the first Gears Of War title
