‘Fable’ reboot will launch in 2025 and feature Peep Show’s Super Hans

The Fable reboot has been confirmed to launch in 2025 by Microsoft. The series will feature Peep Show star Matt King. The first confirmation of the reboot was made in 2020. Microsoft head of studios Matt Booty compared it to making a new Star Wars film. The new Fable game will be released for PC and Xbox Series X/S.

A new trailer was shown at the Xbox Games Showcase introducing retired hero Humphrey, played by Matt King. The trailer asks, “What does it mean to be a hero?” It reveals that Humphrey will be forced out of retirement when a mysterious figure from his past threatens Albion’s existence.

Richard Ayoade also appeared in the game last year after playing the role of a disgruntled citizen in Fable’s world. A new Life Is Strange game, Double Exposure, was also announced during the showcase. The showcase also featured an in-depth look at upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and a mixtape game with a soundtrack featuring the likes of Devo, Roxy Music, and Joy Division.

After a few years of development and back and forth between Microsoft and developers Playground Games, the new Fable game will finally release in 2025. Fans can’t wait to see what new and exciting places developers will take the series
