Weki Meki to disband after the release of new single ‘CoinciDestiny’

Weki Meki, an eight-member K-pop girl group, has announced that they will be disbanding following the release of their final single, ‘CoinciDestiny’. The single will be their way of saying goodbye to their fans. Fantagio Music, the group’s label, has not yet given any details about why the group is disbanding, or on what specific date the single will be released.

‘CoinciDestiny’ will be the group’s first release since 2021 when they released the mini-album ‘I Am Me’ featuring the single ‘Siesta’. Since Weki Meki’s last appearance, member Choi Yoo-jung has released a solo single called ‘Sunflower’. Elly also featured in “Queendom Puzzle,” which was hosted by Mnet in 2023.

Weki Meki was formed in August 2017, and their name is pronounced like ‘we can be everything we want to be.’ The group was created shortly after members Choi Yoo-jung and Kim Do-yeon concluded their activities with project girl group I.O.I. Weki Meki’s members are Suyeon, Elly, Choi Yoo-jung, Kim Do-yeon, Sei, Lua, Rina, and Lucy.
