California punk rock band The Offspring have announced a new album titled ‘Supercharged’. The album will be the follow-up to their 2021 album ‘Let The Bad Times Roll’. ‘Supercharged’ will be released on October 11 via Concord. The band has revealed that their main priority this time around is to deliver the same feeling of energy and intensity that put them on the map. They will also once again team up with renowned producer Bob Rock.
To celebrate the release of the new album, The Offspring have dropped the lead single ‘Make It All Right’. The single is an explosive track with an energy-packed chorus and the band’s signature punk rock riffs throughout. Frontman Dexter Holland has explained that the song is about having a “partner in crime” who gives you confidence that everything will ultimately work out. “No matter what I say/ You’re always there to give a smile/‘Just suck it up,’ you’ll say/ Say it only hurts for a while,” goes the opening verse.
The band has recorded the album in three different locations: Maui, Vancouver, and their home studio in Huntington Beach. Holland stated that he feels like ‘Supercharged’ is the best the band has ever sounded, and that they have been rocking out and head-banging to it for months. The album artwork has also been revealed.
The Offspring’s announcement of their new album comes just before their performance at Download Festival. The pop-punk icons will take to the main stage on the Saturday installment of the festival, marking their first UK performance since last year’s headline slot at Slam Dunk Festival. The band has also been bringing in special guests at their performances, including Queen’s Brian May and Ed Sheeran
