St. George’s Hall Market is set to showcase more than 80 of the best independent local businesses. The market will be held on Father’s Day, which is Sunday, June 16th, and visitors will be able to explore both the inside and outside of the hall where a range of goods will be sold. The visitors will have a chance to sample unique products around the world at the outdoor food zone, including Polish barbecue and Chinese food, along with sweet treats such as crepes, cakes, and chocolate made by the finest of the chocolatiers.
Additionally, visitors can venture inside to enjoy live music with additional 60 artists, makers and distillers that will be showcasing their products. The market will be open from 10.30 am to 4.30 pm, and entry is free. Liverpool has a well-established markets offer, such as the farmers’ and craft markets, and the weekly Great Homer Street Market – Greatie Market.
According to a spokesperson from Liverpool City Council, having a new market in Liverpool’s historic St George’s Quarter is exciting. The spokesperson anticipates many shoppers to attend the event, which was highly anticipated due to the fantastic response to the call-out for traders in May. Visitors will also have the chance to meet with local artist and trader Sandra Hepworth, who said she was excited to have new destinations and that St George’s is the jewel in the crown.
