Speculations regarding the identity of the 28 mystery acts playing the secret sets at this year’s Glastonbury Festival have caused excitement among fans. After the announcement of the stage timings and the most recent additions to the line-up list, fans quickly noticed the gaps where secret sets would be taking place. The Woodsies Stage at 6pm on Saturday has caused particular excitement and is rumoured to be filled by Kasabian, who are set to release their new album ‘Happenings.’ Another act, Kings of Leon, may also be performing after they shared footage from Glastonbury on their social media accounts in recent months.

Additionally, The Smile might be making an appearance at the festival, as the first leg of their European tour will be finished by that time, and they were originally launched as a band three years ago at Glastonbury. According to one user, Troye Sivan is also “nailed on” for a secret set, as his ‘Something To Give Each Other’ tour in the UK ends in Birmingham on June 28.

Other gaps incluce a midnight slot at Levels on Saturday and three empty slots in Nowhere. There are also two vacant slots on the BBC Introducing at 4:30pm on Saturday and 7:30pm on Sunday.

In the past, Glastonbury has hosted several well-known secret acts, including Foo Fighters, Pulp, Jack White, Foals, and Radiohead. Emily Eavis, the organizer of the festival, revealed that the final tickets for the festival went on sale in the re-sale on April 21 and sold out in 20 minutes. It has been the “highest percentage of ticket balances paid” since Glastonbury introduced the payment plan scheme. This year’s festival will introduce a new stage dedicated to South Asian artists in the Shangri-La area. In addition, Shania Twain will be taking on the coveted legends slot, and Pledis boy band SEVENTEEN will perform on the Pyramid Stage, marking K-pop’s first appearance at Glastonbury
