Relentless has announced that it will be bringing in SHERELLE, founder of BEAUTIFUL, and AntsLive, who was nominated for the MOBO Awards, to play important roles as mentors on this year’s Freedom Forum program. They will join Troy Roscoe, a film director, and Ayshe Zaefoglu (AZ), a visual creative, in this upcoming edition of the program aimed at helping young people starting out in the creative industries. The program will accept applications from 12 artists between the ages of 18 and 25 who are interested in learning from the distinguished group of mentors.
Mentors will be paired with three creatives who will work over a period of three months, from July until October 2024, on a creative project, with one mentee being presented with a £10,000 creative fund to help support their progress. The program will be organized into four distinct categories with AntsLive mentoring budding musicians seeking to enhance their stage performances as well as their songwriting techniques. SHERELLE will concentrate on music production and mentor young beat-makers and mixers, while AZ will oversee the visual storytelling process for those interested in creative direction, photography, and illustration. Troy Roscoe’s “Filmmaking” course is intended for aspiring directors who wish to upgrade their music videos to the next level.
AntsLive noted that “Freeform Forum is for people who want to rip up the rule book and create something totally unique and different. I’m looking forward to taking my mentees through what this means to me as an artist and how this can help them on their creative journey in the music industry.” Applications are still ongoing until June 26th, and can be completed here on the Relentless Freedom Forum website
