Speculations have emerged that a Metallica concert could be coming to Fortnite after a note confirming “used in CH5S3 Metallica Concert” was found in the game’s backend code. Fortnite Festival, which emulates games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band, has featured Lady Gaga, The Weeknd, and Billie Eilish as headliners in the past, and Metallica is rumored to take over as a headliner after Eilish’s reign ends on June 13, 2024.
Metallica fans have already been able to purchase the Master Of Puppets emote since 2022, and Epic Games developers just confirmed that it would be added to Fortnite Festival, making it the longest jam track in the game. While many fans speculate about how a “Metallica concert” will fit into Fortnite, it’s yet to be confirmed by Epic Games.
Metallica is not the only metal band seeking involvement in Fortnite Festival; DragonForce guitarist Herman Li has expressed his interest in adding the band’s music to the rhythm game. He even volunteered to re-record “Through The Fire & Flames,” one of the most notorious tracks from the Guitar Hero series, for Epic Games.
Last month, Epic Games removed the Chains Of Hades weapon from Fortnite’s tournament mode after Doja Cat complained that it was making the game worse. Despite that, Fortnite remains a popular game enjoyed by many all over the world
