Bebe Rexha had to remove a fan from her recent show in Wisconsin for throwing items at her on stage. The incident occurred over the weekend while the singer was performing at the Titletown Summer Fun Days Showcase. During her set, she stopped singing ‘I’m Good (Blue)’ – her Grammy-winning collaboration with David Guetta – to call out the disruptive person from the crowd.
“Out, out,” she can be heard saying in a video. “Or if you want to hit me in the face, I pressed charges to the other guy – I would love to become richer. So go right ahead, honey.” She quickly added: “I’m not inviting that, please, I’m just joking. It was a joke.” The ‘Me, Myself & I’ singer asked the police to remove the person, saying that they were ruining the experience for everyone else.
This is not the first time that Bebe has had an incident while performing. Just under a year ago, she was hit in the face with a phone that was thrown from the crowd while performing in New York City. One person was arrested and charged with felony assault for hitting Rexha with the phone. The singer suffered an eye injury and had to be taken to the hospital to get stitches. After the incident, the NYPD confirmed that Nicolas Malvagna from Manalapan, New Jersey was arrested. Recently he agreed to have his charges dismissed if he completes 40 days of community service and follows an order of protection for six months.
Despite these worrying incidents, Rexha has not lost her sense of humor about it. During her Philadelphia performance after the incident in New York City, she requested her crew to tidy up their wiring on stage before addressing the crowd and asking them if they were going to have a good show. She then joked that she hoped there would be no phones on her face that night. The singer has also gone on to urge fans to stop throwing items at performers on stage
