The fabric flagship mix series is celebrating its 25th anniversary by releasing ‘fabric presents The Streets,’ curated by the lead member of the band, Mike Skinner. The album is a mix of UK rap, grime, bass, and garage with contributions from artists like Manga Saint Hilare, Oppidan, TQD, and Interplanetary Criminal. It also has new tracks by The Streets themselves that will be released on June 28th, one of which is called ‘No Better Than Chance’; you can listen to the song below on YouTube. This album comes with 31 tracks in total; some other featured tracks are ‘Swing King’ by Cesco and Hamdi, ‘Exercise’ by Manga Saint Hilare, MoreNight feat. Kamakaze, ‘Eros (Interplanetary Criminal Remix)’ by Dusky, and many more.

Speaking on the occasion, the band’s lead vocalist and songwriter Mike Skinner said that he is pleased to contribute to this fabric anniversary series as he has spent many nights at fabric over the years. He mentioned that fabric is dedicated to innovative underground music, and the pumps and bass transducers create an environment where sound is carried through the body better. Eventhe lines, the chitchats waiting in the queue, and the socializing around make it an experience to cherish for a lifetime. Mike said he couldn’t wait to get to work on such an amazing project.

The collection is packed with a handful of solo tracks from Skinner himself and several other distinct features from The Streets, including ‘Desert Island Duvet (Skinners Version)’- a collaborative track with Fred again… and Dermot Kennedy. It’s a massive accomplishment for the band to have their work included in an anniversary series like this one. Mike described fabric as one of the homes of bass music and said that he has been playing some of the music he loves the most there. He wished for more decades of great time and hedonism to come at fabric.

‘Fabric presents The Streets’ signifies the growth of the fabric flagship mix series, which is why it’s becoming more popular after 25 years. It shows that the celebration of success needs to continue. The Streets have made a significant impact on audiences over the years, providing quality music in the mix with UK rap, grime, bass, and garage. It’s worth exploring the tracks on this new album, which is set for release on June 28th
