British electronic duo Disclosure has released their pulsing new single “She’s Gone, Dance On.” The energetic track features the lyrics, “In time, she’ll find / This was so kind / So long, dance on / She’s gone, dance on” and samples the late legendary Italian composer Ennio Morricone’s 1978 track ‘Dance On’ from the film Così Come Se. Disclosure first performed the popular song last October during a pop-up show in Los Angeles and recently premiered it on BBC Radio 1. The duo has previously distributed “She’s Gone, Dance On” to DJ colleagues.
Notably, Dom Dolla played the track during his Coachella set last month and clips of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce dancing to the song made their way around social media. The song’s release precedes Disclosure’s set at Primavera Sound in Barcelona tomorrow, as well as upcoming performances at Parklife Festival and Glastonbury next month, HARD in LA and Portola in San Francisco.
Disclosure’s last album, Alchemy, was released in 2023 and received a four-star review from NME. Despite a lack of overall cohesion, the album showcased the duo’s ability to cover vast musical ground and push beyond what’s expected of them creatively. With the release of “She’s Gone, Dance On,” fans can expect Disclosure to continue breaking barriers and exploring new musical territory.
