Over 300 people who have been connected to rapper and music mogul Sean Combs, better known as Diddy, in various ways have shared their thoughts on the allegations of abuse against him over recent months. Rolling Stone has released a report on the issue, documenting the testimonies of dozens of people, including former friends, acquaintances, employees, and Bad Boy artists, noting that around 50 of them shared their experiences on condition of anonymity. Last November, Diddy was accused of physical and sexual abuse by ex-partner Cassie Ventura. R&B singer and Ventura filed a lawsuit against the artist for physical and sexual abuse, which they later settled “to mutual satisfaction,” a day after it was filed.

A video released by CNN, which later obtained an exclusive video, showed Diddy allegedly attacking Cassie in a hotel, aligning with allegations made by Ventura. Diddy has since apologized for his “inexcusable” behavior in the video. Two more allegations were then made against the artist, one of which claimed Combs drugged and sexually assaulted the plaintiff. Diddy denied all allegations against him.

An anonymous source who used to work with Bad Boy claimed that the rap mogul was “so volatile.” “He’s always on the edge of snapping and being scary. People did whatever he said to stay in his good graces, and Puffy exploited people’s desires to be in those environments,” they claimed. Other recollections include an industry source who alleged that they once left a party at Combs’ home because they felt so uncomfortable watching him yell at Ventura throughout the night.

The report sent Combs a detailed list of questions about the allegations. In response, his lawyer shared a statement: “We are aware that the proper authorities are conducting a thorough investigation and therefore have confidence any important issues will be addressed in the proper forum, where the rules distinguish facts from fiction.”
