Reading and Leeds Festival have revealed the addition of a new stage named The Aux that will feature a variety of internet personalities and social media stars. The first of its kind stage will present interactive talks, live podcasts, debates and other dynamic, hands-on activities that will showcase some of today’s most popular and culturally relevant personalities and offer a new platform in the live sector.
Some of the big names scheduled to feature on The Aux stage include comedic figure George Clarke who hosts The Useless Hotline podcast, Ash Holme of Antics with Ash fame, and Ayamé Ponder, who is known for her podcast In Ayamé We Trust. She will be joined by special guest Coco Sarel for her performance.
This new stage addition is part of the festival’s overall strategy to attract a new demographic of audience and diversify its existing one. The Aux and its mix of live streams and podcasts are a promising starting point for the festival’s ambitious plans.
Reading and Leeds organiser has had an eventful year, besides announcing The Aux. It has also revealed plans to launch a new three-day festival in Luton, which shows that the company is committed to expanding its brand and providing something fresh for both existing fans and new audiences
