Master Peace recently spoke to NME regarding his plans for the upcoming second album. He aims to delve deeper into the sound of indie sleaze and get wild. He also mentioned that he wants to go crazy and take the exploration of indie sleaze to the next level.
In the winners’ room of the Ivor Novellos this week, he stated that he is appreciative, glad, happy, shocked as he picked up the coveted Rising Star Award. He managed to beat stiff competition from some great artists such as Blair Davie, Elmiene, Chrissi, and Nino SLG. He had also thought that Elmiene would be taking the award home.
In his story on conducting his first album ‘How to Make a Master Peace,’ the artist confessed that the album was clear from the beginning, and he knew how he was going to make the best album possible. He added that making a masterpiece needed one to be themselves, caring less about what people think. He said that he is bringing the indie back; it’s 100 percent authentic.
Regarding inspiration, the record was inspired by the indie sleaze’s sound, something that he would be exploring much deeper for the album’s upcoming sequel. He mentioned that indie sleaze resembles MIA, Santigold, The Strokes, and LCD Soundsystem.
