South Park fans worldwide are in for a treat with the release of a brand new special named The End of Obesity. Following previous specials such as Not Suitable for Children which comically touched on Logan Paul and other social media influencers, this special aims to parody related issues such as over-the-counter weight loss drugs and the US healthcare system. The storyline of the episode involves Cartman being denied access to the miraculous medicine and raises concerns around the impact of new weight loss drugs among South Park residents.
The good news is that fans don’t have to wait long to catch the latest South Park offering as the episode will be available for streaming via Paramount+ on Saturday, May 25th at 8am BST in the UK. In the US, it will air on Friday, May 24th, a day earlier than in the UK. Paramount+, a streaming platform that costs £6.99 a month in the UK, has been releasing multiple episodes and squirts every year since 2021, straying away from the more traditional season format.
Those eagerly waiting to binge on the new South Park episode will be happy to hear there are plans for more episodes in the future. South Park was renewed until 2027 in 2021 and is set to produce two specials every year through to its 30th season. The show’s popularity has also spawned merchandise, video games and even a feature film.
