Brian Low: Man, 75, arrested in connection with dog walker death

Detectives from the Major Investigation Team have arrested a 75-year-old man in connection with the death of Brian Low, a retired groundsman who was found dead three months ago while dog walking in Perthshire. Initially thought to be “medical-related”, an examination of Low’s body found that he had actually been shot. The man is currently being questioned by detectives.

Low worked at the nearby Edradynate Estate for over two decades until he retired in February last year. He lived in Aberfeldy, where his body was discovered three days before his 66th birthday. According to his death certificate, he died of a shotgun wound to the neck and chest.

Over 800 people were interviewed in the police investigation into Low’s death, with officers reviewing footage from 56 cameras, amounting to 2,400 hours of CCTV. The case is still ongoing, and more details are to be released.
