The Beach Boys have announced their upcoming ‘Endless Summer Gold’ tour which will celebrate the 50th anniversary of their 1974 compilation album ‘Endless Summer’. The band have also revealed that actor John Stamos will be joining them on 16 shows from May to August, including concerts in New York, North Carolina, and Chicago to name a few. Stamos had previously performed with The Beach Boys at Stagecoach Festival 2024, where he sang ‘Do It Again’ alongside the band and Mark McGrath of Sugar Ray.
The tour dates with John Stamos have been announced, with the initial two shows in May taking place in Staten Island and Utica. There’ll be a total of ten shows in June, including performances in Virginia, North Carolina, and New Jersey. The Beach Boys will also perform at Ravinia Festival in Illinois in July before concluding their tour in August with shows in California.
Stamos and The Beach Boys have a long-standing relationship since the 1980s, and he even performed a new rendition of their 1971 track ‘Forever’ for their 1992 album ‘Summer in Paradise’. Stamos would later perform ‘Forever’ on at least three episodes of Full House. He’s also appeared with the band on several occasions, including on an episode of Dancing with the Stars.
However, The Beach Boys’ upcoming tour will not feature founding member Brian Wilson who retired from touring last year due to “major neurocognitive disorder”. Despite this, fans can still look forward to the release of a new documentary celebrating the band’s legacy, directed by Frank Marshall, which will be released later this month. The documentary will focus on their legacy, which helped revolutionise pop music and personified the California dream
