Sleaford Mods announce 10th anniversary reissue of ‘Divide & Exit’ and intimate UK tour

UK duo Sleaford Mods has announced the reissue of their 2014 album ‘Divide & Exit’ to celebrate its upcoming 10-year anniversary. The re-release is set to arrive on July 26 and will feature a special new sleeve designed by friend and collaborator Cold War Steve. The album received widespread critical acclaim upon release, with NME awarding the duo four stars and praising them as one of the few bands who are willing to “sing songs about the gutter”.

Williamson, one half of the duo, said that “listening to it now, ‘Divide and Exit’ is perhaps the most punk record we have done. There wasn’t anyone in the country doing what we were doing at that point, it feels like it was 30 years ago, but it’s only been 10. Mad as f***.” Aside from the album reissue, Sleaford Mods has announced an intimate UK tour to celebrate the 10-year anniversary, which kicks off in Sheffield on November 19.

The tour features eight performances across the country, as Sleaford Mods revisit intimate grassroots venues that they toured in 2014. They will perform in Edinburgh, Newcastle, Liverpool, Lincoln, and more before their final show at Bodega in Nottingham on November 30. Tickets go on sale on May 24 at 10am BST.

The re-released album will have new sleeve notes written by Williamson, and initial editions will include a limited-edition flexi disc featuring previously unreleased track ‘Git Some Balls’, with artwork by Williamson. The band will also release a CD version of the album featuring the Cold War Steve artwork, exclusively available on Sleaford Mods and Rough Trade Records’ online shops. Meanwhile, a one-off T-shirt featuring the new cover art will be sold on the band’s web store, with all proceeds donated to War Child UK.

This news comes after the duo announced their single ‘Big Pharma’ and ‘More UK Grim’ EP last September, which was produced during the same time they worked on ‘UK Grim’. They also have several festival appearances lined up, including Glastonbury, Mad Cool, and Bearded Theory. Tickets are available via their website
