Sheeran topped the musicians’ list, with a reported net worth of £340m. The next pop star up was Styles, who has grown his wealth considerably since branching out into acting and investing in the new Manchester-based arena, Co-Op Live. He has a net worth of £175m. Lipa was also included in the 40 Under 40 list, with a reported wealth of £90m.
Other notable entries included Tottenham-born singer Adele, who is listed as the 19th wealthiest person under the age of 40, while Paul McCartney became the first billionaire musician in the UK. The musician’s net worth is estimated at £1bn, having grown by £50m in the past year. Others on the main Rich List from the music world included Sir Elton John, Victoria Beckham and Lord Andrew Lloyd-Webber.
The inclusion of Dua Lipa on the 2024 Rich List is thought to be linked to her recent album release, Radical Optimism, and her upcoming headlining slot at this year’s Glastonbury Festival. Similarly, Harry Styles’ investments in the new Manchester arena and his acting roles have helped to increase his net worth.
