Medellin-based DJ and producer Verraco has announced his forthcoming EP, ‘Breathe… Godspeed’, representing his debut on Bristol label Timedance. The TraTraTrax co-founder shared the news on Instagram, expressing his excitement at the collaboration: “It means a lot to me to make this Medellín-Bristol connection,” he wrote. “Eternally grateful to Batu for believing in me, for pushing me to build and distill this EP.”
The Colombian artist has been creating waves in the underground scene since his debut a few years ago. Verraco has gained popularity for his unique compositions that range from house and electro to the more abstract. The creative producer has kept a busy schedule, performing at some of the most renowned clubs worldwide, including Berghain and Tresor in Berlin. He has also earned a reputation for his performances at Sonar and CTM, as well as Boiler Room.
Meanwhile, Timedance has previously released music from artists such as Lanark Artefax, Batu and Bruce. The label has been recognized for its compositional innovation. The new EP is a preview of Verraco’s ability as a top-notch producer in the electronic music industry and his ability to create a diverse fusion of sound.
The announcement follows the recent launch of TraTraTrax’s new ambient sub-level, Ambie-Tón, which offers “space for artists to show their most daring, experimental and daring tonal dimensions,” according to Verraco.
‘Breathe… Godspeed’ promises to continue Verraco’s constant exploration of creative boundaries and promises to showcase why he’s considered an integral part of the Colombian underground scene. The EP will be released on 27 May and can be pre-ordered from Timedance’s official website
