Queens Of The Stone Age will reissue their self-titled debut album on vinyl for the second time. The record was first reissued in 2011 alongside vinyl releases of their 2013 album “Like Clockwork” and 2017’s “Villains”. This double LP reissue is set for release on June 21 and will feature all of the songs recorded for the album arranged in the band’s chosen order, along with several bonus tracks like ‘The Bronze’, ‘Those Aren’t The Droids You’re Looking For’ and ‘Spiders and Vinegaroons’. The original cover artwork by Frank Kozik will be featured on the package. The band have announced that the record is available for pre-order on their website.
The ‘Queens Of The Stone Age’ tracklist is 1. Regular John 2. Avon 3. If Only 4. Walkin On The Sidewalks on side A. Side B will include 1. You Would Know 2. The Bronze 3. How To Handle A Rope (A Lesson In The Lariat). Side C will feature 1. Mexicola 2. Hispanic Impressions 3. You Can’t Quit Me Baby 4. These Aren’t The Droids You’re Looking For. The fourth and final side of the LP will include 1. Give The Mule What He Wants 2. Spiders And Vinegaroons 3. I Was A Teenage Hand Model.
The rock band will be headlining this year’s Download Festival next month, alongside Avenged Sevenfold and Fall Out Boy. The festival will take place from June 14 to 16 at Donington Park. Frontman Josh Homme said in an interview with NME that they were not concerned about their set. The band is always changing their act, so it is always going to be something different. Guitarist Dean Fertita agreed and said that the reason the band’s shows have always been so good is because there is a relaxation to their approach and that they would decide five minutes before going on to play something that they haven’t played in 20 years
