In a recent appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast with Alex Cooper, Lavigne spoke about the conspiracy theory and called it “funny” and “dumb.”
Lavigne mentioned that on one end, people say she hasn’t aged a day, but on the other end, there’s a conspiracy theory that she’s not herself. She stated that the theory is not bad, adding that other artists have experienced similar rumors. Lavigne emphasized that the theory is “so dumb” and declared she is indeed herself. Cooper jokingly noted that Lavigne has not aged, and she looks the same as she did when she was younger.
The Sk8er Boi singer released her latest album, Love Sux, in February 2022. In a review by NME, the album received three stars and was described as a modern rendition of early ’00s pop-punk. Lavigne is set to release a greatest hits album on June 21, several days before her first appearance at Glastonbury.
