Snoop Dogg has spoken about his upcoming year in entertainment, which features an array of activities. On a recent appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, the Westside rapper opened up about his debut as a vocal coach on NBC’s The Voice. He joins Reba McEntire, Gwen Stefani, and Michael Bublé on the show, and he’s excited about supporting the artists who could be the next biggest thing in music. “This is a great opportunity for me to show that I really understand music and, you know, to be a real coach and to really give direction to some of these artists,” he says. Snoop also shared that he will be returning as an NBC correspondent to cover the primetime show beginning July 26 on NBC and Peacock at the 2024 Paris Olympics. The rapper debuted as a correspondent alongside Kevin Hart during the 2021 Tokyo Olympics.
Snoop’s reaction to a horse he saw “crip-walking” during the 2021 Tokyo Olympic Equestrian event went viral. Speaking about the horse, Snoop said “This horse is off the chain, I gotta get this motherfucker in a video.” He added that he’s planning to reunite with the horse at the 2024 Paris Olympics. “I’m going to meet the horse in real life. He’s the returning champ. So I got to go meet him — you know what I’m saying? — and let him know I’m a big fan.”
However, Snoop recently received criticism from Suge Knight, who accused the rapper of being a part of Tupac’s “downfall” when criticizing Drake’s ‘Taylor Made Freestyle’ diss track. Snoop was surprised to see Drake use his likeness on ‘Taylor Made Freestyle’ with the use of artificial intelligence. Knight slammed Snoop on an episode of his podcast, Collect Calls With Suge Knight, stating that Snoop was “a part of his downfall and exit, ain’t ever a good look.” Nonetheless, Snoop’s year seems to be packed with exciting events, and he’s eager to continue entertaining his fans across the world
