The newly-released romantic comedy Mother Of The Bride has become a hit among Netflix viewers and has climbed to the top of the streaming service’s charts. Directed by Mark Waters, known for his work on the popular film Mean Girls, the story follows Lana (Brooke Shields), the mother of Emma (Miranda Cosgrove), who discovers that Emma’s fiancé is the son of an old flame from college. The movie features an all-star cast that includes Benjamin Bratt, Rachael Harris, Sean Teale, Chad Michael Murray, Michael McDonald, Wilson Cruz, and Tasneem Roc.
Released globally on May 9, Mother Of The Bride quickly shot up to the top of the film charts in the UK within its first week of release. The film’s score features music from Caroline Ho, who previously contributed to the American Horror Stories soundtrack alongside Alexis Grapsas. A number of other artists also appear on the soundtrack, such as David Guetta and Bebe Rexha with “I’m Good (Blue)”, Ray Evans and Jay Livingston with “Mona Lisa”, and The Go-Go’s with “We Got The Beat”.
