The highly anticipated Glastonbury Festival is set to return next month and the organisers have recently announced the 2024 line-up for The Park, which includes two brand-new venues. Along with the various performances throughout the festival, The Park will feature headline sets from Fontaines D.C., Peggy Gou and London Grammar.
Following the announcement of various artists in March, Glastonbury’s organisers have been revealing posters for the festival’s many different areas and stages. These include Left Field, Woodsies, The Glade, the Acoustic Stage, Silver Hayes and The Common. Today, Glastonbury has added another list of names for The Park, which includes Johnny Flynn, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, Lynks, Moonchild Sanelly, Kara Jackson, Lime Garden, Problem Patterns, and Voice For Soprano performed by Bishi.
Additionally, two new venues will debut at The Park for 2024: The Wishing Well and Scissors. These will replace the longtime Rabbit Hole, which has left the Glastonbury site after 17 years. The Wishing Well is described as a place to fulfill your deepest desires and unfurl your wildest wishes. While Scissors is an utterly delicious femme-queer venue where anything can happen.
The Park is also home to the iconic Ribbon Tower, the Crow’s Nest, the Forge, the Humbell Well, the Big Easy Jam, and the Spinney, along with existing venues Free University Of Glastonbury, HMS Sweet Charity, and Bimble Inn. Other performers across these venues include Daniel Avery (electroclash set), Erol Alkan, Robin Ince, Shaun Keaveny, Beans On Toast, Stornoway, and Flamingods.
Glastonbury Festival has seen its highest percentage of ticket balances paid ever and the last batch of tickets for this year’s event sold out in just 20 minutes. Limited amounts of coach/ticket packages were also snapped up in 18 minutes, three days prior. Emily Eavis, one of the festival’s co-organizers, previously revealed that this event had seen its highest percentage of ticket balances paid ever.
