Earlier this year, Gallagher had revealed that he was working on an entirely acoustic album, which he described as being “for the fans”. However, in April he announced that he had scrapped the project, as he was “so bored” with the arrangements and slow pace. Instead, he plans to make a “defiant rock record” that he hopes will apologize to those who had yet to hear the acoustic album.
Gallagher is no stranger to reflecting on his life and the world in his music. In an interview with NME last year, he opened up about his album ‘Council Skies’ where he shared the inspiration behind the titular track.
