Drake asks Toronto news chopper to stop flying over his mansion as third intruder arrested

Drake has requested that a local news helicopter in Toronto stop flying over his residence after three attempts of trespassing were made by intruders. Just recently, a man was arrested for trying to break into Drake’s Toronto mansion just a day after an unfortunate shooting that happened outside his residence. On Wednesday, the suspect was reportedly detained and charged with attempting to gain access to Drake’s home. Then, a second person attempted to break in on Thursday but was taken to the hospital after coming to blows with security guards. The suspect had “serious but not life-threatening” injuries.

In yet another attempt to breach the property, a third trespasser was detained by security and escorted off the site. In response to the constant threats to his safety and privacy, Drake posted an Instagram story to ask the helicopter news crew to stop flying over his house, saying “@cp24breakingnews can we discuss the chopper flight times over the house cause I won’t lie I’m trying to sleep anytime after 3pm works for me.”

The musician’s Toronto home has seen a host of incidents this week, starting with a man getting hospitalised after being shot multiple times outside the rapper’s residence. When police arrived, the alleged shooter was apprehended under the Mental Health Act. Reports have since come out that the victim was actually Drake’s bodyguard. Last weekend, Drake and Kendrick Lamar also reignited their rap feud, which began a few years ago. Both rappers have been dropping tracks with verbal attacks on each other. There is no evidence to suggest that the brewing feud had anything to do with the recent trespassing and shooting incidents.

As more security measures are put in place to keep Drake and his property safe, Universal Music Group has denied reports that it had stepped in to end the feud between Kendrick Lamar and Drake. “Kendrick and Drake’s beef is between them and completely separate from the business side of things,” TMZ reports. “And UMG just doesn’t think it’s their place to step in either way.” Despite this, whether Drake and Kendrick Lamar will finally put their beef behind them remains to be seen
