Supergiant Games’ action game, “Hades 2,” is one of the most highly anticipated games currently in early access. The early access version of the game has received rave reviews and console players are now eagerly waiting for the game to be available on consoles as well.
Despite the hype surrounding the game’s release, Supergiant Games has remained largely quiet on when the console version of the game will be released. However, the company has given a brief statement, acknowledging that “Hades 2” will eventually be available for PC, Mac, and console platforms, though no specific platforms have been confirmed yet.
It is expected that “Hades 2” will be released on console platforms such as the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. With the game leaving early access in 2025, it is unlikely that the game will end up on PS4 or Xbox One. It is also possible that the game will be launched on the successor to the Nintendo Switch, given that the original game was launched on Switch and PC.
Early access will provide Supergiant Games with a testing period to refine the gameplay, fix bugs, and test new features and mechanics. The company has stated that, initially, there won’t be much new content added in the months after launch in order to focus on the overall stability of the game. However, new content will be released in large batches a few months after the launch, in addition to frequent bug fixes.
If players want to check out “Hades 2” before its console launch, they can purchase the game on Steam or the Epic Games Store. The early access launch on PC has been a huge success, surpassing the player count of the original game by a significant margin. As a result, a console release seems inevitable, either when the game reaches 1.0 or shortly thereafter
