Lady Gaga has shared a trailer for her upcoming concert film, Gaga Chromatica Ball. The musician and actor took to social media last night to unveil a sneak peek of the upcoming concert film, which was filmed during her 2022 Chromatica Ball tour. The upcoming concert film, directed and produced by Gaga herself, will be available on HBO Max on May 25.
Gaga noted that revisiting the tour leaves her “speechless” because of the way people showed up for music and art. Recalling the atmosphere of the concerts, Gaga said that the crowds were “sold out” and the “deafening singalongs” were unforgettable. For Gaga, Chromatica was “colorful revenge,” helping to transform the chaos of life into “pure energy and life.”
Addressing her recent stint as an actress and due to star as Harley Quinn in Joker: Folie à Deux later this year, Gaga wrote to her fans: “Here’s the truth—no matter where life or my career has taken me, my time with you always is a path back to a very powerful part of myself. In a stadium filled with YOU it came to life.” Gaga thinks self-acceptance is vital, and she believes in reaching deep inside to dig up one’s greatness and that self-discovery is an art that self-love should always be practised.
The Chromatica Ball tour may have ended, but Gaga has continued to hone her craft. In March, the singer mentioned that she had been “writing some of my best music in as long as I can remember.” Earlier this month, the iconic performer teased that she was working on new music, posting a story of audio waves on a computer screen and layers of music, indicating that she had been back in the studio working on new material. The last time Gaga released music as a solo musician was in 2020 with Chromatica, a highly acclaimed pop album, which went deeper than catchy choruses and glossy productions into interesting themes and content.
The musician has also announced she will return to Vegas with a ‘Jazz & Piano’ residency, which she first launched in 2019. Gaga’s stay will kick off in June this year and run until July. With limited dates, those wanting to see the music icon live should check when she’s playing to get any remaining tickets
