London-based artist Beabadoobee has announced the upcoming release of her third studio album, “This Is How Tomorrow Moves,” and premiered a new single, “Take A Bite.” The album, scheduled for release on August 16 via Dirty Hit, features production from famed producer Rick Rubin and longtime collaborator and bandmate Jacob Bugden. The album is now available for pre-order or pre-save.

“Take A Bite” follows Beabadoobee as she explores a cycle of negative thoughts and indulges in unhealthy behaviors over a 90s folk rock-inspired instrumental. “Sure it’s easy to talk, but I take it and eat it with a cherry on top / Indulging in situations that are fabricated imaginations / Moments that cease to exist / Only want to fix it with a kiss on the lips,” she sings.

The singer-songwriter shared that the song is about feeling introspective about her thoughts and her unhealthy way of living, finding comfort in a familiar place, and bringing chaos into every aspect of her life. She added, “It’s just tapping into this part of my brain where I just jump straight to the most negative, most chaotic thought ever known to man and make that my reality.”

Moreover, Beabadoobee divulged that “This Is How Tomorrow Moves” has helped her in navigating this new era, becoming an adult, and being more aware of her actions. “In my previous records, I would consistently sing about my reaction towards other people’s doings, like a blame game,” she shared. “But in this record, it’s accepting that there’s an inevitability of my fault in there too. Whether it’s childhood trauma or relationship issues, it takes two to tango in everything.”

Beabadoobee’s latest album is a follow-up to her second album, 2022’s “Beatopia,” where she collaborated with The 1975’s Matty Healy. Earlier this year, the artist also shared a cover of “It’s Only A Paper Moon” for Jack Antonoff’s “The New Look” soundtrack
