The Haarlem Vinyl Festival has announced the first wave of artists and speakers set to perform and talk at its 2024 edition. This vinyl-focused festival, set to take place across three days and nights, is returning to the northwestern Dutch city of Haarlem, just 20 minutes from Amsterdam by train, for its second outing this September.
The festival will see the likes of Anastasia Kristensen, Cassy, Colin Benders, Shakedown Tim & The Rhythm Revue, and Altin Gün, among many others, taking to multiple venues in the city. Berlin-based DJ and producer Cassy will also be delivering a talk about her own record collection, offering an insight into her selections with “valuable lessons for both DJs and vinyl collectors” from one of “electronic music’s most respected selectors”.
Local Dutch record stores and talent, such as Nedda Sou, Thrills in +41, and Amsterdam-based vinyl distribution service, One Eye Witness, are also included in the first wave line-up. This year, the festival is set to host workshops, talks on production and manufacturing, events, and pop-ups, as well as panels on marketing, art, design, history, and more.
On top of the music and art programmes, the festival is also set to host a Making Vinyl conference, guided tours at Europe’s largest pressing plant Record Industry, and an open-air record fair in hopes of welcoming more than 25,000 visitors in 2024 – a 10,000-person increase from its debut edition in 2023.
