Drake has entered into the ongoing feud between himself and Kendrick Lamar by releasing a new diss track. The song, titled ‘The Heart Part 6’, is an explicit reference to Lamar’s previous ‘The Heart’ tracks and is Drake’s fourth track aimed at Kendrick Lamar.
On this release, Drake responds to Lamar’s previous claims that he fathered a child with an 11-year-old daughter. The new track suggests that Kendrick’s attack was based on false information given to him by Drake’s team and that he didn’t conduct proper fact-checking. Drake raps, “We plotted for a week and we fed you the information / A daughter that’s 11 years old, I bet he takes it.”
Drake also references the cover art for Lamar’s ‘Meet The Grahams’, which features a picture of items previously owned by Drake including pills with his legal name, saying: “Even the picture you used, the jokes and the medication / The Maybach glove and the drug he uses for less inflation / Master manipulator, you bid on the speculation.”
The back-and-forth feud between Lamar and Drake began with Kendrick’s verse on Future and Metro Boomin’s ‘Like That’ back in March, where Kendrick responded to J. Cole’s claim that they are “the big three like we started a league.” Cole then released his own diss, ‘7 Minute Drill’, before apologizing for it and removing the track from streaming services. Since then, both Drake and Lamar have released several diss tracks aimed at each other.
Drake’s ‘The Heart Part 6’ is the latest installment in this heated back-and-forth between the two rappers and follows Lamar’s recent release, ‘Not Like Us’. Fans eagerly await to see if either of the rappers releases any additional tracks in response to this ongoing feud
