DJ-producer and singer Channel Tres has announced his first-ever album, titled ‘Head Rush’. The album is set to be released on June 14, 2021 under RCA Records. Channel Tres also unveiled the album’s first single ‘Berghain’ recently. The track features Barney Bones and is the seventh song on the album. In a press release, Tres revealed that the track was written about the time he played at the iconic Berlin club, Berghain.
The techno-inspired track holds a special place, Tres explains. “It’s about the time I played Berghain and how the culture in that environment made me feel, I didn’t feel weird anymore. Everyone’s the same, the goal for everyone in that place is to enjoy themselves and be free, and music played a pivotal role in that,” he said.
Channel Tres has previously worked with artists such as Tyler, The Creator, Tinashe, JPEGMAFIA, Disclosure, Robyn, SG Lewis, Jungle, and more. In 2020, he released the EP ‘I Can’t Go Outside’, which featured Tyler, The Creator and Tinashe. Prior to that in November 2019, he released the joint EP ‘Lover/Friend’ with Kaytranada and Rochelle Jordan.
The upcoming album ‘Head Rush’ follows this string of successful release from Channel Tres. The artist has been praised for his ability to fuse different genres seamlessly, delivering a unique sound that he can call his own. More information on ‘Head Rush’ is yet to be revealed
