A new collaborative single from Post Malone and Morgan Wallen called ‘I Had Some Help’ has been announced to be released on May 10. The Country music stars gave the live debut of the song at Stagecoach Festival in California, with Malone joining Wallen on stage as a guest for the performance. Prior to the festival, Malone had given fans a preview of the song by sharing a 17 second clip. The artists later confirmed the song’s upcoming release with a joint Instagram post.
Malone had also performed at Stagecoach, where he played a set made up of covers of classic country songs. Dwight Yoakam and Brad Paisley joined him for the set, during which he played songs by George Strait, Tim McGraw and Vince Gill. The singer has previously teased his interest in country music, including covering Hank Williams’ Honky Tonk Blues during a Nashville show earlier this month, saying “there’s nothing stopping me from taking a camera or setting up in my studio in Utah and just recording a country album and putting it on f***ing YouTube.”
Malone has had a busy year already, having been the featured artist on Taylor Swift’s ‘Fortnite’, the lead single from her album The Tortured Poets Department, and collaborating with Beyoncé on the track ‘Levii’s Jeans’ from her album Cowboy Carter. Wallen, on the other hand, has had a recent run-in with the law after throwing a chair off a rooftop bar in Nashville. He has apologized for his behaviour publicly and has taken steps to make amends with those affected
