Kendrick Lamar and Drake have released new diss tracks in their ongoing feud. On May 3, Lamar dropped a diss track against Drake, titled “6:16 in LA”. Shortly after, Drake released “Family Matters”, taking aim not only at Lamar but also at other artists like The Weeknd, A$AP Rocky, and Rick Ross. He also accused Lamar of hiring a crisis management team to cover up domestic abuse allegations against his wife.
Lamar responded within an hour by releasing “Meet The Grahams”, in which he directed insults towards every member of Drake’s family. He apologized to Drake’s son, saying he was sorry he had to grow up with his father, then insulted Drake’s father, calling him a “horrible fucking person”. Lamar also criticized Drake’s mother and accused him of hiding another child.
This is the latest development in the pair’s feud, which began when Lamar dissed Drake on Future and Metro Boomin’s “Like That” in March. Drake retaliated with two tracks, “Push Ups” and “Taylor Made Freestyle”. Lamar responded with “Euphoria” and later “6:16 in LA”.
The feud has not only attracted attention from fans but has also had an impact on businesses. New Ho King, a Chinese restaurant based in Toronto that Lamar named in “Euphoria”, has seen a boost in interest since the song was released.
While the feud seems to be ongoing, it remains to be seen if there will be any further developments
