Lana Del Rey has recently clarified her relationship with Camila Cabello. Following their performance together at the Coachella music festival, rumours began to surface regarding the reason behind Cabello’s appearance. Some fans speculated that it was a peace offering after Del Rey seemingly called out the pop star in a past post. These rumours were further fuelled by a fan’s reposting of Del Rey’s 2020 Instagram post citing Cabello among those artists who “top the charts with songs about being sexy, wearing no clothes, f***ing, cheating, etc”.

Del Rey also addressed the controversy surrounding her hit song ‘Video Games’. “Because everyone critically hated ‘video games’ just ’cause I was talking about watching my boyfriend playing video games I was sequestered to wearing turtlenecks for 11 years”, she explained.
Regarding the performance at Coachella, Del Rey surprised fans by bringing out Cabello as a surprise guest. They performed a rendition of Cabello’s recent single ‘I LUV IT’. Some fans were caught off guard as they had expected Taylor Swift to be joining Del Rey on stage.
In other news surrounding Del Rey’s Coachella set, it was reported that the festival would face a fine of around $28,000 (£22,585) due to the artist running over the scheduled time frame. This issue echoes a similar problem faced by Del Rey when she arrived late for her Glastonbury performance last June, resulting in her being cut off due to the curfew.
Del Rey’s performance at Coachella was praised by NME. The magazine called her “the distinctive star who stays true to herself
