Despite initially feeling supported, Dua Lipa quickly learned that criticism can come in waves. Some were quick to dismiss her win, claiming she didn’t deserve the award and lacked stage presence.
However, Dua Lipa used the negativity as fuel to continue proving her doubters wrong. During the interview, she shared, “When someone has doubted me, I’ve proved them wrong. And for me, I’m like, this is fueling me. This is pushing me to be better, to work hard. And I get a real kick out of proving people wrong.” This mindset has clearly served Dua Lipa well as she continues to release new music and headline major events.
One such event is Glastonbury 2024, where Dua Lipa is set to headline alongside Coldplay and SZA. She is also reportedly working on a documentary film that will capture her visit to Worthy Farm. Additionally, the musician has recently announced a one-off concert at the Royal Albert Hall in London and a series of European shows for this summer.
