Dialled In, a South Asian festival and collective, has announced plans to hold its first-ever event in Manchester this July. The festivities will be held at Hulme’s Nia Centre and include performances by hip hop, Punjabi garage, R&B, live folk music, and UK funky artists. The event, which is supported by Arts Council funding and a partnership with restaurant chain Dishoom, will also feature food stalls and workshops.
The diverse musical lineup will include renowned DJs such as Manara, Arthi, Tash LC, G33, Zaleel, and Chandé, as well as the impactful DJ Radical Sista. Also set to perform are a selection of live acts, including Indian Classical and R&B artist Kapil Seshasayee, British-Tamil R&B artist Pritt, and hardcore producer Haaji Ka Halva.
Dialled In’s focus is to showcase South Asian talent in the UK music scene. This initiative is timely, given the increasing interest in South Asian culture and music globally.
