Jenna Ortega, who played Brooklynn in the first five seasons of Netflix’s animated series “Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous,” will not feature in the upcoming sequel, “Chaos Theory,” according to recent reports. Netflix has released a trailer for the series, set to premiere later this year.
“Cretaceous” was the first official “Jurassic Park” television series and followed Darius Bowman and a group of six teenagers who become stranded on Isla Nublar after dinosaurs break free from their enclosures. Ortega’s Brooklynn character was one of the six and does not seem to have made it to the timeline of “Chaos Theory,” set after the conclusion of “Camp Cretaceous.”
In other news from the actor, “Miller’s Girl,” a recent movie starring Ortega and Martin Freeman, has garnered some criticism. Freeman, who played the professor of an 18-year-old student (Ortega), has defended the film, calling its depiction of the relationship “grown-up and nuanced.” Despite the actors’ 31-year age difference, the movie’s intimacy coordinator, Kristina Arjona, has stated that Ortega worked in a comfortable environment and was determined to do what she wanted.
