Scotland’s first minister, Humza Yousaf, is reportedly set to resign as early as today, according to BBC sources. His resignation is said to be a result of the collapse of a power-sharing agreement with the Scottish Greens last week, in addition to facing two confidence votes this week. The Scottish National Party leader had been struggling to secure support to lead a minority government, with tensions rising after his party’s decision to scrap climate targets for 2030.

Following the announcement from the SNP, the Greens accused Yousaf of “selling out future generations,” and the party had been due to vote on whether to remain in power with the SNP.
