Scottish rock band Biffy Clyro has announced a massive open-air gig set to take place at The Piece Hall in Halifax later this summer. The concert date has been confirmed for August 23. The show at the historic venue in Halifax is part of the final run of concerts for the 2024 edition of TK Maxx presents Live at The Piece Hall, an outdoor summer festival comprising 34 headline events. Fans are expected to flock to the ticket counters for the Biffy Clyro show.
Among the headliners lined up for this summer’s instalment are ’80s legends Blondie, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Richard Ashcroft, Korn, Nile Rodgers & CHIC, Sheryl Crow, Fatboy Slim, PJ Harvey, Pixies, IDLES, and Underworld. The Biffy Clyro gig will also feature special guests Witch Fever.
Nicky Chance-Thompson MBE DL, CEO of The Piece Hall Trust, expressed his excitement over Biffy Clyro’s addition to the line-up. In his statement, he said, “Biffy Clyro complement the rest of our lineup perfectly for what is our biggest, best, and most diverse summer music season. Biffy Clyro is one of the most successful Scottish rock bands of all time, with three UK Number One albums and four NME Awards under their belt. Earlier this year, the group announced a string of back-to-back shows in London and Glasgow to celebrate the anniversary of their first three albums. Their latest release is the highly acclaimed The Myth Of The Happily Ever After LP, which followed their 2020 album A Celebration Of Endings.
