Slipknot took the stage in Las Vegas at the Sick New World Festival on April 27 for a co-headling set that featured a career-spanning setlist. The band wore their classic red boiler suits and original masks, which was fitting for the celebration of the 25th anniversary of their self-titled 1999 debut album. They primarily played music from their first three albums, demonstrating a reliance on early material. Those albums included their debut self-titled album, Iowa, and Vol. 3: The Subliminal Verses.

The setlist featured ‘People = Shit,’ ‘Eyeless,’ ‘Disasterpiece,’ ‘Before I Forget,’ ‘Custer,’ ‘Psychosocial,’ ‘The Heretic Anthem,’ ‘Unsainted,’ ‘Wait And Bleed,’ ‘Duality,’ ‘Spit It Out,’ ‘Surfacing,’ and ‘Finale.’ They also surprised fans with ‘Unsainted,’ a track from their 2019 album We Are Not Your Kind.

While appearing at Pappy + Harriet’s in Pioneertown, California two days prior to their Las Vegas set, Slipknot played in their original outfits for an intimate club show. This performance marked the band’s first concert with their new drummer, whose identity has yet to be confirmed. Without officially announcing the new drummer’s name, fans speculate that it may be former Sepultura percussionist Eloy Casagrande.

Other upcoming performances for Slipknot include a celebration tour in the UK this winter for the 25th anniversary of their debut album. According to founding member Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan, the band’s intention is “to kick everybody in the face again” as part of their return to basics
