Sacha Baron Cohen’s legal team has claimed a “clear victory” after portions of Rebel Wilson’s memoir, Rebel Rising, were redacted for the UK release. The changes were made to the chapter about Cohen, amid allegations of the comedian’s behaviour while working on The Brothers Grimsby. “The worst experience of my professional life” left me feeling “bullied, humiliated and compromised,” reads the amended version. Previous passages in which Wilson directly accused Cohen have been replaced by redacted lines. Cohen denied the claims, with a statement from his representatives reading: “these demonstrably false claims are directly contradicted by extensive detailed evidence”.

Wilson’s book was first released in the US and other territories earlier this month, with the unredacted chapter being included.
