The 1975’s Matty Healy has given his thoughts on Taylor Swift’s latest album, ‘The Tortured Poets Department’. While it hasn’t been officially confirmed, fans believe that Healy is the subject of several songs on the album. When approached by paparazzi in Los Angeles recently, Healy was asked how he felt about his “Taylor diss track”. He responded by saying, “My diss track? Oh! I haven’t really listened to that much of it, but I’m sure it’s good.”

Since the album’s release, fans have taken to social media to analyse the lyrics, planning different theories that suggest a significant portion of ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ focuses on Matty Healy. Taylor had a brief relationship with Healy in 2023, but Swift did indeed move on and date Joe Alwyn for six years. Healy has yet to comment on whether he feels targeted by Swift’s new album.

Numerous artists seemingly inspired Taylor Swift’s latest album, and the title track references “Lucy,” who fans believe may be a reference to Lucy Dacus, one third of the Grammy-winning group boygenius. Charlie Puth gets a shoutout on the same song, while fans are also speculating about whether ‘thanK you aIMee’ is aimed at Kim Kardashian. Swift mentioned the cult Scottish Indie band The Blue Nile on ‘Guilty As Sin?’, which appears to be another nod to Healy.

Despite scoring a three-star rating from NME, Taylor is set to continue with her career-spanning ‘Eras Tour’ in Europe next month before heading to the UK and Ireland in June. Swift is due to play eight shows at Wembley Stadium in London this summer, with support coming from Paramore
