Aaron Taylor-Johnson will star in the upcoming Disaster Horror, ’28 Years Later’, as reported by Deadline Hollywood. The film will also star previously announced actors Jodie Comer and Ralph Fiennes. Details surrounding the plot and characters have yet to be revealed.
The talented actor has been a buzz lately with rumours of becoming the next James Bond. Although he has neither confirmed nor denied the rumours, he has not yet committed to any project officially. Taylor-Johnson swerved the 007 rumours at an event earlier this week.
‘Disaster Horror’ sequel ’28 Years Later’ will mark a reunion with the original director Danny Boyle and writer Alex Garland. The two led the 2002 film ’28 Days Later’. Sources report that the series will continue with a trilogy with Alex Garland writing all three and Boyle directing the first one. Reports suggest that each film in the series would be produced with an estimated budget of $75 million per film.
In a 2022 interview with NME celebrating the 20th anniversary of ’28 Days Later’, both Boyle and Murphy had spoken about the sequel and the possibility of the franchise’s continuation. Boyle had revealed having a script titled ’28 Months Later’, written by Garland years ago, but the project did not materialize. Murphy mentioned his age barrier, and the sequel would be difficult. However, the opportunity for a sequel has now presented itself, and with an exciting trio of talented actors and directors, we can’t wait to see how this story unfolds
