Megan Thee Stallion accused of harrassment and creating hostile work environment by former photographer

Megan Thee Stallion is facing harassment accusations from former cameraman, Emilio Garcia. He has filed a lawsuit against the rapper for creating a hostile work environment and harassment. Garcia claimed that he was forced to watch Megan have sex with another woman while trapped inside a moving vehicle with four other women. The incident allegedly occurred in June 2022 while they were in Ibiza on a trip. The photographer stated that he was told by Megan, “don’t ever discuss what you saw.”

In the lawsuit filed to the Los Angeles Superior Court, Garcia alleges that he was subjected to severe and pervasive harassment that created a hostile and abusive environment at work. The lawsuit also claims that Megan treated Garcia differently, and the harassment made his working conditions intolerable. On the same trip, Megan allegedly called Garcia a “fat bitch” and told him not to eat. Garcia claimed that he was subjected to relentless sexual and fat-shaming comments.

The lawsuit seeks more than six figures in unpaid wages, interest on unpaid wages, and other employee benefits. It also claims penalties related to Californian labour laws, punitive damages according to proof, and any costs incurred by Garcia. Garcia reported a loss in earnings and decreased employment benefits after being prevented by Megan from working for anyone else. He was also allegedly denied overtime pay and breaks and left without basic insurance coverage, depriving him of essential healthcare.

In a statement to NBC News, Ron Zambrano, attorney for Garcia, called for Megan to own up to her behavior, pay Garcia what he is due, and quit her sexual harassment and fat-shaming conduct. Zambrano stated that exposing such behaviour to employees is illegal. So far, no comment has been made by Megan Thee Stallion’s representatives on the matter
