Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame 2024: Ozzy Osbourne, Cher and more to be inducted

Sixteen musicians and music figures have been announced as inductees for the 2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame class. Among them are legends such as Cher, Mary J. Blige, and Ozzy Osbourne, the latter of whom will be recognized for his work as a solo artist after previously being inducted as part of Black Sabbath. The Dave Matthews Band, A Tribe Called Quest, Peter Frampton, Kool & The Gang, and Foreigner were also chosen for induction.

Additionally, the Hall of Fame will honour multiple other musical figures with recognition in various categories. The Musical Excellence award will go to Jimmy Buffett, MC5, Dionne Warwick, and Norman Whitfield. The Musical Influence Award will be bestowed upon Alexis Korner, John Mayall, and Big Mama Thornton. The Ahmet Ertegun Award will go to entertainment producer Suzanne de Passe.

All of the honourees will be formally inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame during a ceremony on October 19 in Cleveland. The names of performers who will be present at the ceremony have yet to be announced.

Last year’s inductees for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame included Kate Bush, George Michael, Sheryl Crow, Tom Morello’s band Rage Against The Machine, Missy Elliott, The Spinners, and Willie Nelson
